About the Role

As a scare actor at Doncaster Fear Factory, your primary role is to deliver immersive and terrifying experiences to guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance: Portray a variety of characters, utilizing body movements, facial expressions, and vocalizations to elicit fear and excitement from visitors.
  • Interaction: Engage with guests in a safe yet thrilling manner, adhering to the attraction’s guidelines and boundaries.
  • Adaptability: Improvise and adjust performances based on guest reactions and flow, ensuring each visitor has a memorable experience.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe environment for both guests and fellow actors by following all safety protocols and reporting any hazards.
  • Endurance: Sustain energy and character integrity throughout extended periods, often in challenging environments such as low lighting, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.

Join Our Team as a Show Captain at Doncaster Fear Factory!

Are you a natural leader with a passion for performance? Do you thrive in high-energy environments and love bringing stories to life? Doncaster Fear Factory is looking for Show Captains to take charge of our performer team and ensure the smooth operation of our thrilling attraction this season.

About the Role

As a Show Captain, you’ll have dual responsibilities: performing and leading. This role is perfect for confident performers who can motivate a team, maintain high standards, and manage key operational duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Motivate and monitor performers to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.
  • Evacuation Protocols: Assemble and roll call all performers at designated evacuation points and report to team leaders.
  • Warm-Ups: Lead daily vocal and physical warm-ups to prepare the team for the night ahead.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with Attraction Team Leaders (ATL) to ensure smooth venue operations.
  • Creative Vision: Maintain the creative direction, makeup, and costume standards for all performers.
  • Rehearsals & Feedback: Attend rehearsals, assist the Creative Director, and provide feedback during daily debriefs.

About the Role

As an Attraction Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in the success of Doncaster Fear Factory. You’ll be responsible for leading and managing your team, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience: Oversee queue management and ensure guests enjoy a seamless and engaging experience.
  • Team Leadership: Manage hosts and show captains, and deliver inspiring daily briefs.
  • Operational Support: Liaise with technical and operational departments to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all public spaces, including the entrance area and queue line.
  • Feedback & Reporting: Provide end-of-day debriefs and complete attraction performance reports.
  • Emergency Leadership: Lead your team during emergencies, ensuring safe evacuation and assembly at designated points.
  • Team Rotas: Create and oversee team break schedules to maintain efficiency and morale
